She is all set to Fly & hold the world in her hands

Freedom doesn’t always need wings.

I photographed Ridhima as she reached toward the setting sun, not to hold it, but to feel how close it could be. Her hand stretches forward, caught between light and shadow, while the rest of her remains grounded—present, steady.

Her hair is loose, carried by the wind without resistance. It moves freely, as if already familiar with the idea of flight. There is no struggle in the frame, only openness—a quiet willingness to let the moment pass through her.

It isn’t about who she is, but about what the moment feels like. This image lives in that space where longing and freedom meet—where the body stays still, but the mind begins to move. As if she is ready to lift, not away from life, but deeper into it.

Some flights begin long before the ground is left behind. – Adit Sarin
